SDGs
In 2015, the United Nations (UN) replaced the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to expand measurable achievements. The SDGs aim to guide the world towards attaining a sustainable and inclusive future for everyone, both locally and globally. The SDGs consist of 17 goals that address a wide range of global problems, with a particular focus on economic, social, and environmental challenges (Lopez et al., 2023). According to the United Nations, the Sustainable Development Goals aim to create a better world where poverty and inequality are eradicated, the planet is protected, and all people enjoy health, justice, and prosperity.
Siddartha Inc. and SDGs
Siddartha Inc. focuses on five of the seventeen United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Goals #1, 3, 5, 8, and 17. SDGs are designed to promote sustainable societies across the world by involving multiple stakeholders. These goals provide a common framework for member states to work together to enhance the quality of life and livelihoods of global citizens. The SDGs aim to achieve this by reducing inequality, eradicating poverty, and improving education, the economy, and health (Goodwin & Zaman, 2023). Siddartha Inc. is committed to contributing towards the achievement of the SDGs by creating tangible and sustainable impacts. To continue achieving this goal, Siddartha Inc. collaborates with its sister partners.
